Class Offerings
Classes are geared to 8-14year-olds



Bookmaking
Discover the art of making books from start to finish. In this workshop, you’ll learn a variety of unique bookbinding techniques used long ago to make books by hand. Choose your favorite patterned paper and thread colors, then use your imagination to design patterns and combinations that reflect your own style. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a finished creation you made yourself and the skills to continue making handmade books at home.

Quilling
Learn how to transform thin strips of colorful paper into beautiful twirled and shaped designs using the art of paper quilling. Students will learn basic quilling techniques, including rolling, shaping, and gluing paper to create intricate patterns and designs. Throughout the class, they will make an elaborate card for any occasion and create a small 3D quilled artwork. By the end of the class, students will have the skills and confidence to make their own quilled designs at home.

Biome Survivor
Step into the world’s wildest landscapes and test your survival skills. In this class, you’ll face desert heat, mountain cliffs, dense jungle, and shadowy forests. Listen to gripping survival stories, make critical decisions that shape your adventure, and tackle challenges like finding water, navigating dangerous terrain, and avoiding predators. By the end, you’ll have put your skills to the ultimate test. Can you survive?

Embroidery
Open to complete beginners to those with some experience who want to complete a project in a fun group setting. We will learn to set up an embroidery hoop, learn different stitches, and finish a small project. The students will have help with everything they need from threading a needle, to completing a complicated stitch. Projects options for girls and boys are available.

Resin
In this class, you will learn how to use resin to make various projects such as coasters, keychains, dioramas, and more. The course will cover a variety of techniques, including layering, embedding objects, and finishing touches to enhance your creations. You can add pigments and dyes to make additional patterns, experimenting with colors and designs. Projects for boys and girls are available

Backpacking & Survival Skills



Wood Projects
Build your own working candy dispenser while learning basic woodworking skills! You'll measure, drill, hammer, sand, assemble, and paint your project using real tools in a safe, fun environment. No experience is needed—step-by-step instructions will guide you from start to finish. At the end of class, you'll take home a candy dispenser you built yourself. Safety glasses and gloves are provided.

Sports Skills
Have fun learning the fundamentals of basketball and volleyball in this active class! Practice dribbling, passing, and shooting in basketball, then work on serving, setting, and passing in volleyball. Through engaging drills, challenges, and games, players will build coordination, teamwork, confidence, and a love for both sports. Whether you're new to the sports or looking to improve, this class is a great way to learn, play, and have fun.

Advanced Bookbinding
Continue building your embroidery and bookmaking skills by creating a handmade book with an embroidered cover! In this workshop, you’ll combine stitching and bookbinding techniques to design and assemble your own unique book. Students will learn more detailed embroidery stitches and hand-binding methods while creating a personalized project. This class is perfect for students ready to take the next step after embroidery or bookmaking.
